The MSRC has a long history of supporting respiratory students throughout the state achieve their goals. We offer scholarship programs to help students along the path to graduation.

Scholarships require student membership in the MSRC (AARC members receive extra consideration), as well as enrollment in an accredited respiratory care training program. In addition, scholarship applications must include the following:

  • MSRC Scholarship Application Form

  • Two letters of professional reference, including one from a full-time faculty member of the applicant's respiratory care program

  • Official transcripts from your respiratory care program institution demonstrating enrollment in good standing

Each scholarship program also has additional criteria specific to that scholarship. Please see the scholarship packet for full details.

The James Burt Scholarship was created in honor of one of the MSRC's earliest supporters and leaders. Winners of this scholarship demonstrate both leadership and problem solving skills. In addition to the standard application requirements, applicants for the James Burt Scholarship must complete an essay based on a clinical reasoning question. Applicants must also have a 2.25 GPA to be considered.
