Our Partners

The MSRC Values Its Partners

We are committed to health, healing and disease prevention through education, information sharing and partnerships with other professional associations and patient advocacy groups.  Below are links to some of the organizations we have formed partnerships with over the years.  We appreciate their commitment to and support of health, healing and disease prevention.

The American Association for Respiratory Care (AARC)

With more than 35,000 members nationwide, the American Association for Respiratory Care (AARC) is the only professional society for respiratory therapists in hospitals and with home care companies, managers of respiratory and cardiopulmonary services, and educators who provide respiratory care training.

The MSRC is a chartered affiliate of the AARC.

The American Lung Association

The American Lung Association has continued to influence American health and medicine in every area of lung health.

The American Lung Association of Michigan (ALAM) is a constituent of the American Lung Association and is a 501(c)3 tax-exempt charitable organization.

The MSRC and its members have consistently supported the ALA Asthma Walk and other events.  The MSRC continues to work with ALAM on legislative efforts to improve lung health.

Make MI Air Smokefree

The Campaign for Smokefree Air (CSA) is a grassroots coalition committed to creating smokefree workplaces in Michigan.

The intent of our web site is to educate and inform Michigan residents about current smokefree air policies in workplaces, public areas, restaurants and bars. Information and background regarding the dangerous effects of secondhand smoke on our health, and the economic benefits of a smokefree workplace, are also provided.

The MSRC has pledged its support for the Campaign for Smokefree Air.

The Michigan Health & Hospital Association

The Michigan Health & Hospital Association (MHA) is composed of a blend of hospitals and health systems, and other organizations involved in health care.  MHA represents these groups at the national, state and regional levels.

The MSRC is an associate member of MHA.

The FACES Foundation

Guiding Principles

  • Professional excellence leads better health care outcomes among patients living with life-threatening pulmonary diseases.
  • In the care of pulmonary illnesses, professional education and recognition of best practices benefit patients and their support networks (family and friends).
  • The objectives of FACES are served when the Foundation adheres to the principles embodied in the long broadcasting career of Phil Lamka: be honest; be open; know what matters in life.
