On Saturday, June 3rd, The FACES Foundation will be holding our 12th Annual Philip C. Lamka Memorial Golf Outing & Silent Auction at Dunham Hill Golf Club, in Hartland, Michigan. By supporting this, our only annual fundraising event, you can help FACES continue to acknowledge and promote professional excellence in the education and care of patients with pulmonary illnesses and diseases of the lungs.
The respiratory therapist is with us from the first breath we take to the last, and all our breathing challenges in between. We all know someone struggling to breathe easy. Help us help them! Think about it, you probably know someone whose premature baby had respiratory issues; or someone with Asthma, Blood Clots, Cystic Fibrosis, Lung Cancer, Pneumonia or COPD. Chronic lower respiratory disease, primarily COPD, affects over 30 million people and is the third leading cause of death for adults in the United States. Respiratory therapists are instrumental in the care of patients with pulmonary conditions.
Our signature program, The PHIL Award (Pulmonary Health and Illnesses of the Lungs), is the only national hospital-based award honoring respiratory therapists, as nominated by patients, family members and other caregivers. We currently have over 75 hospital partners in 23 states who are recognizing their “unsung heroes” - and giving patients and their family members a voice in their care!
Don’t miss out on this year’s event! Registration is $125 per golfer, or $450 for a foursome, and includes: 18 holes of golf, golf cart, access to the driving range, lunch, dinner, awards ceremony with prizes, a welcome bag, and lots of fun!
